Provide geological expertise and technical oversight to support development of reservoir strategy and implementation of Field Development Plan.
Supervise in-house and third-party geological studies to be carried out on behalf of the company.
Provide input into the integration of geological, geophysical, petrophysical and reservoir engineering data for the purpose of developing an accurate, up-to-date static reservoir model.

Technical Provide geological expertise and technical oversight to support development of reservoir strategy and implementation of Field Development Plan.
Collate and interpret data on reservoir architecture, reservoir properties and their distribution, and integrate these data for construction of static geological models.
Carry out detailed geological studies, incorporating relevant aspects of other disciplines, in order to support field development activities for maximizing hydrocarbon recovery.
Review and interpret seismic data, including horizon correlation, and construct time and depth charts.
Provide geological information to assist in the well planning process.
Assess geological and drilling risks, evaluating the feasibility and optimization of drilling in varied geological environments.
Evaluate geoscience software and provide recommendations regarding software requirements.
Add new reserves by mapping location and update reservoir models.

Operational Prepare scope of work and AFE drafts for geological studies; participate in the tendering and contractor selection process; monitor and evaluate contractor performance.
Define the technical scope of geological studies to be performed in-house and by third parties.
Conduct technical evaluation and verification of contractor or consultant prequalification documents and assessment of capabilities.
Provide specialized support during the execution of contracts to ensure that both contracting parties fulfill their obligations .
In consultation with operations geologists, geophysicists and petrophysicists, establish data requirements for new wells and define a formation evaluation strategy .
Provide geological input as needed for drilling, well workover and intervention programs, including cased hole logging requirements.

Control Policy, procedure and risk mitigation.
Maintain compliance with Dragon Oil guidelines and requirements regarding the gathering, quality control, maintenance, storage and retrieval of technical data.
Ensure compliance with and proper application of company procedures and internal regulations, including those pertaining to confidential information, and recommend updates as needed.
Liaison and coordination
Maintain ongoing interaction with geophysicists, petrophysicists and reservoir engineers to ensure a seamless workflow with respect to data transfer and integration.
Work with operations geology and drilling teams to incorporate geological objectives into the well planning and design process.

Reporting Prepare reports in support of department activities.
Oversee preparation of data package presentations.
Provide reports and presentations to internal and external stakeholders as required.
Provide management with geology input for making reservoir development decisions.
