Coordinator- Education

The Coordinator for Education’s or Head of Teacher's main goal is to contribute to the attainment of the Centre’s Mission and Vision by ensuring that the Education Department is satisfactorily meeting its operational commitment towards the students’ effective learning processes and outcomes.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Vision Shaping for the Success of the Students
  • Cultivation of Leadership among Staff Members
  • Management of People, Processes and Data
  • Contribution to Organizational Growth and Development
  • Promotion of Centre to Community and all Stakeholders
  • To ensure that daily operation of teaching staff is carried out efficiently, promptly and effectively
  • To monitor the teaching staff’s attendance to work and to ensure that absences are well covered efficiently by other staff members
  • To appropriately respond to parents’ inquiries, complaints and suggestions
  • To evaluate the performance and attitude of the teachers and learning support staff and find ways of improving and maintaining the satisfactory performance and appropriate attitude. ( once every term)
  • To impose one’s administrative jurisdiction over the teaching staff members e.g. attendance, performance of duties and compliance to the Centre’s policies, rules and regulations
  • To respond immediately and appropriately to issues, challenges and problems that arise from staff, parents and students’ wrong practices and inappropriate behaviour and attitude
  • To interview applicants along with the Director for the purpose of determining their suitability for vacant positions
  • Edition of written materials e.g. magazines and other major publications
  • Coordination of School-wide student activities, e.g. concerts, vocational competitions and sports meet, awareness campaigns and other similar activities
  • Writing to parents to inform them certain activities, seeking their child’s participation in events etc.
  • To perform related tasks as maybe required by the Management
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor degree in Special Education, Psychology or related field of study with Equivalency certificate from UAE Ministry of Education.
  • Minimum two years’ experience in supervision of SEN teachers and similar work setting
  • Exceptional Verbal, written and communication skills.
  • Ability to work on tight deadlines.
