Roles &Responsibilities:
Provide leadership to the Technical Team at the Main Lab in Islamabad
To oversee all aspects of accessioning and technical operations at this lab
Handle required disciplinary matters of technical staff in a fair and consistent manner
Manage overall balanced and effective staffing of assigned areas including weekly rosters.
Approval of staff leaves, short leaves, comp OFF and emergency leaves
Facilitate & follow up scheduled technical section/areas/stat lab meetings.
Participate in OMG, Staff, CAP and QA meetings.
Verify and counter sign sectional demand and make sure effective and balanced inventory management so that kits are consumed with in expiry date.
Communicate technical staff issues to management and management feedback to the staff.
Monitor staffing and supervise the shifts of the technical sections.
Manage technical staff training and need assessment for this training in close coordination with Pathologists and Regional Manager Operations.
Manage daily Quality Control in close coordination with Pathologists on duty.
Ensure that maintenance is done for all the equipment as required and is documented in logs
Trouble shoot technical issues and machine faults and get these resolved timely in coordination with vendors and Chief Pathologist.
Liaison with Lahore and Multan labs for technical matters through Regional Managers.
Investigate of incident reports and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
Ensure in time of reporting of tests.
Handle patients queries on phone or directly with the patients.
